Wallingford is a quaint New England town nestled in the "Valley of Vermont" bordered by The Taconic Mountains to the west and the Green Mountains to the east. The town has so many architecturally significant buildings that three blocks of the downtown area are listed on The National Historic Register. The diversity ranges from Italianate Victorian to Greek Revival in style and the " Boy in the Boot" Fountain, located in the center of town , dates back to the turn of the century.

Amidst the grand buildings, Wallingford provides two antique shops, a quilting supply shop, an antique clock shop, an art gallery and a creative artisan who designs in painted glass and mosaics, "Handmade in Vermont" also features pottery and other fine crafts as well as local gourmet foods. Located in one of Wallingford's grand old homes is a four star gourmet restaurant, The Victorian Inn, featuring great food and a fantastic wine cellar. We also have two other eating establishments in town, a casual Italian restaurant with an outside patio and a small breakfast/lunch eatery all within an easy walk of The Munson House. If you have come to Vermont to be pampered, The Thrive Center is located directly across the street and offers licensed chiropractic and massage therapy services. Elfin Lake provides a great swimming experience and is within walking distance of The Inn. The Otter Creek offers fishing and a wonderful setting for a stroll.
